Hi

Yes, AVG - it's free with free updates and hasn't let me down in all the years that I have been using it:

Will ,
The free AVG ,even when updated has fail to stop and find the last four
viruses that I have been so lucky to acquire , including this nasty buger
(W32/Spybot.gen.worm ) which disables your msconfig and Task Manager. A
Panda online scan found and removed it. I would not recommend it over other
if it does not find what others do. There is no tech support for the free
version. Jym

Hi

You must have been unlucky - no 'nasties' here - AVG has caught anything that may be a virus.

It is not the question that one has been "unlucky" , the reality is that
you have been LUCKY not to get a nasty one when using a antivirus that
doesn't work as well as others . Read link done on antivirus software
