I'm experiencing quite a lot of problems with Norton Internet Security and I
was just wondering what virus scanner the members of this group were using
(if any)?

I used to be pretty happy with Norton but not anymore.

Might want to post in microsoft.public.security and mention what it is
you're looking for. NIS is a suite of products - are you more interested in
antivirus, firewall, etc, and do you care if they're the same version,
etc....

I preduct you'll get a lot of replies.

I use AVG and Trend OfficeScan (on different systems), but without the mail
scanning feature installed.

You might still be happy with Norton IS if you uninstall it and reinstall it
without the mail scanning feature.

I use KAV (Kaspersky Anti-Virus.) Seeing as you're looking for a suite you
can get System Mechanic which includes both KAV and Kaspersky Anti-Hacker.
System Mechanic is available at www.iolo.com

AVG have a good program, and there is a free version for personal use.

Hmmm, I disabled the mail scanning feature in the Options screen. That
should do the trick, no?

It may, but Norton AV is notorious for not truly honoring that option and
still interfering with mail unless uninstalled and reinstalled without the
feature.
