One of the attorneys in my office inadvertently changed his Normal template.
As a result, whenever he opens up a new blank document, he gets what appears
to be a text box at the very top. No one has been able to help. Any
suggestions?

Thanks.

This is a MS Word question but you posed on the XP group. Try
.... .word.newusers.

IFF he has no macros, autotext, etc., stored in his normal.dot,
then just delete it. Word will recreate it the next time it
starts and it will have all defaults, just like when it was first
installed.

You need to go to a Word newsgroup.

The Office newsgroup would be the appropriate place to ask, but try
renaming "normal.dot" to "normal.old" and then open Word and it will
create a fresh one.

Thank you, Bob! One of our computer experts spent 2 hours trying to fix
this, not to mention the time I spent. You are great.
