normal template problem

sirs:
i have somehow gotten a document into the Normal.dot
template, i have uninstalled and reinstalled word and
that didn't fix it. i have word 2000.
how can i get a copy of a clean normal template.

open normal.dot, delete the content, save

Locate normal.dot - in the folder indicated at tools > options > file
locations > user templates - and rename it to oldnormal.dot.
