Normal.dot is different for e-mail than for other documents

I have set Outlook 2003 to use Word as my e-mail editor. In Word, my
Normal.dot template's Normal style is set to 10-point Arial, as I prefer. Yet
whenever I reply to a message, the style is set to "Normal + Black" and the
type is 12-point Times New Roman. (When I eliminate "Black" and reset the
style to "Normal" only, the type is STILL set to 12-point Times New Roman.) I
have used the Organizer to edit my Normal template from the e-mail message
window, to no effect. This problem occurs on my laptop computer, but not my
desktop computer. How can I fix Outlook and Word to use my preferred font
when I reply to e-mail messages? Thanks in advance!
