Non persistent mapping keeps coming back!

I map a drive to a Windows 2003 shared folder. I do NOT check the
"Reconnect" box. Yet, after a reboot, the mapped drive still appears in
Windows Explorer. Although I can't access the drive, I don't want it to show
up at all any more. This only happens with certain machines, other machines
don't show the drive (as expected). Any thoughts?

Have you tried to explicitly disconnect the network drive?

Are you conversant with the NET USE command?

Are there any logon scripts running that could cause this?

I am familiar with Net Use. I can definitely manually disconnect from
Windows or by using Net Use with the /d option. I just really want to know
why the drive would show up again in Windows Explorer.

Thanks!

Next thing I'd do is search the registry for the share name.
Perhaps something went wrong there. Perhaps you can delete it
directly in the registry or find out why it doesn't go away.
