noise

not sure if this is right space? if not can somebody please advise of right
group.
every morning at 10.06am hard drive (box) makes a noise , somewhat similar
to lookin for floppy disk when disk not inserted.
would this be XP phoning home? I have no programes set to run on auto at
this time(well nothing that I know of)any ideas please.
 
Hi,

At a guess I'd say your AV software is doing a daily system scan. The floppy
drive is being accessed as part of this scheduled routine.
