Help,

I have tried everything, but I don't get my windows-sounds at work again. I
had them working, but this week I noticed that the standard Windows-sounds
don't work anymore.

I have checked them in the controlpanel for sounds and everything is
pointing the right way. I have tried them there and they work and sound
fine. Nothing is disabled, but as I already mentioned: No sound with windows
startup, windows shutdown, or anything windows uses a sound with.

Checked my soundcard in hardware and everything is working ok (no
exclamationmarks).

I get sounds from avi, wav's, my cdplayer etc., but what I do, it doesn't
work.

If anyone can offer help, it will be appreciated.

By the way: I've already worked me through the knowledgebase and tried
everything that was suggested.

Greetings Henk

I have the same problem. Windows sounds were working just fine for several weeks after receiving the pc. But then they stopped working, but only for my logon. I have three other family members with personal logons and their sounds work just fine. So, the sound card, driver files, and sound files are all fine. It's an obvious profile problem, but where did it come from?

Same here.... I have tried everything..... No problems in my sound themes, my sound card, ... nothing. Sounds have worked fine for 5 or 6 months since my initial XP install and all of a sudden they stopped working. Everything else is fine. I have no configuration problems. The sounds point to the right file and they work when you sample them but do nothing when they are supposed to
Any help?
