Provider?
He is behind a router/adsl modem (Wannadoo ISP) BUT they have
a second
PC connected to the router and this one works absolutely fine!
They
have just tried a repair of the installation and they still
get the
same problem ! Network connection status shows a private IP
assigned
NOT from DHCP as it's set up to be. DHCP server must be OK as
the
second PC is getting an IP from the router As posted earlier,
if he
sets up a manual IP he can ping DNS servers fine BUT still no
TCPIP
working. I suspect they are now going to reformat and
reinstall from
scratch and if that doesn't fix it then where next !!
