No User Accounts to choose

Hello,

My laptop was working okay until yesterday. Now when I boot it up it takes
me to the blue Windows Home XP screen, and asks me to click on a user name.
Problem is there are now no user names to click on.

I have tried using Ctrl-Alt-Delete and logging on using my user name and
administrator, but to no avail. I have also tried using safe mode and last
known good configuration, again with no success. I think that somehow or
other all my user accounts has been corrupted and lost.

Does anyone have any ideas how to get around this problem? I am loath to
restore back to the factory original configuration, as I will lose valuable
data.

This problem might be it (wsaupdater.exe), and you will have to find a way
to access your drive to change the file. Maybe a boot cd like BartPE would
do it.
