Since my last Windows update, I have been unable to view thumbnails of .jpg & .gif images in Windows Explorer. Instead of showing a thumbnail view of the image, the logo for the associated image editing program is shown. I'm still using the same editing program that I have always used (PSP). What do I need to do to, again, be able to view thumbnails of .jpg & .gif images without changing the associated program? Any help appreciated.

Type "regsvr32 shimgvw" in the RUN box. This fixes the content-type. If that does not help, see:

"Repair Image Preview", by Doug Knox: http://www.dougknox.com/utility/scripts_desc/fixpix.htm
