"No Tape Error"

When I try to capture using my Elura 50 as a through put
device I get a "no tape" error.

I walked thorough the process with a Canon tech on the
phone he said I was doing everything right for using the
camera as a throughput device. He says it is a video
capture software issue.

Any solutions?

Hey Bob,

Unfortunately Movie Maker 2 doesn't support 'DV passthrough'. Some
workarounds are described in the KB Article at
(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;814835). They
involve first recording to the mini-DV tape, and then capturing in to Movie
Maker.
