No System Restore

if an error message comes up as>; " rstrui.exe - Entry Point Not Found (X) The procedure entry point RemoteAssistancePrepareSystemRestore could not be located in the dynamic link library WINSTA.dll " when i try to run a sys restore on a computer that is running XP Home, that i cannot get onto the internet with, comes up with this error message> HELP!!!!!
 
Hi:
This sounds like something I ran into before.
Apparently, anti-virus software can conflict with windows
updates. Try turning off your anti-virus software,
upating, or re-installing windows.

Rstrui.exe is what loads your Restore points . Read this and check if you have
it set up correctly .

1. In My Computer, click the Tools menu -> Folder Options.
2. On the View tab, make sure to check the option "Hide extensions for known file types".
3. Click OK.
4. Click the Start menu -> Run. Type: " %windir%\inf " (Without quotation
marks) in the Open field. Click OK.
5. Locate and select the file " sr.inf ". Right-click it and then click Install.
