No Start Menu, No Taskbar

This morning, I decided to clean up some of the flotsam
and jetsam deposited on my machine. Since then, I have no
start menu or task bar. One of the things I did was
modify the Registry (following web instuctions) to remove
nstask32.exe. I also removed some software (namely,
Norton AV and Norton Firewall).

Any ideas on how I can get the start menu/taskbar working
again.

Thanks in advance for ant ideas.

First thing, click Kelly's link below, then "T". Right at the top...
"Taskbar is missing when you log onto Windows"
