I've formatted several times before on the same computer with the same
hardware and with the same Windows XP cd... but this time I have no stanby
options what so ever?! I've decided to format again just to see if I did
everything right but here I am... Any takers? Thanks

While you're at it, remove your current partition instead of just doing a
format. Standby sucks, whether it works or not. Turn it off, oh fossil
fuel waster.
