Hi,

I recently upgraded some customer PCs from OL XP/02 to OL03(with SBS 2003).
In tools>options>mail format, there are 2 boxes for using Word 2003 as
editor (1 for HTML, 1 for RTF) and both are greyed out because Word version
is 2002. Consequently, spell checking is not working right. On the
spelling tab (in options) all appropriate boxes are checked.

Please advise.

Thanks,
Mike

Strange, since I, too, have Office XP installed but am using Outlook 2003.
I never use Word as my email editor (not just because I can't, but because I
don't wish to), and my Spell Check button works fine.

Well I have multiple machines with OL 2003 now that have the options to use
Word 2003 as e-mail editor greyed out, most likely because there is no Word
2003 on the PCs, it is Word 2002(XP).

How can they use Word XP as the e-mail editor in OL 2003?

Thanks,
Mike

Can't be done. What I was commenting on was that I find it strange that
spell check doesn't work with that combination, since it's what I have and
spell check does work for me. I just don't use Word to compose mesasges.
