no sound

hello when i go on net my speakers have no sound but when i put a dvd in they wor
fine. can any one tell me how to sort this problem. thanks alan,
 
IE6 menu bar > tools > internet options > advanced tab
Scroll down to Multimedia
Put a check in the "Play sounds in Web Pages" option
