Right click My Computer > Properties
On the hardware tab, then Device Manager
Expand the Sound, video and game controllers
Are there any yellow exclaimation marks or question
marks?
If so then right click and choose update driver. Allow
windows to install the right driver for it unless you
have the driver on CD. If the sound card came with the
computer then you should have the driver supplied. If you
know the card, then you should be able to download the
latest drivers from their web site.
If you need to post back, include as much info as you can
about the sound card and sytem it's running on.
Hope this helps - John

I have no sound on my computer at all. When I go
to 'sounds and device properties' it says that there is
no audio device. Where has it suddenly gone? I can't run
my windows xp cd as I have mislaid it. Can anyone help?
