No Slide Show for Pictures

Certain JPG pictures downloaded do not show up in folder with small icon pictures and though they can be previewed in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer,they cannot show up in slide show like the others.
Any idea what the problem is?
 
In the folder click VIEW/Thumbnails...et voila !
