No shortcut to Word though I can use Word documents

The shortcut to Word on my Start menu and on the desktop both disappeared a
few weeks ago. I can't find how to put them back! I've looked on Help, but
nothing. Does anyone know? Thank you!

Find where the Microsoft Word application file is loaded on your computer.
(On mine, it's in C://Program Files/Microsoft Office, but it might be
different on yours if you're running a different version.) Once you've found
it, right-click on the actual application file and select "Create Shortcut."
Then drag the shortcut to your desktop.

Or right click, drag to the desktop and choose the create shortcut option.
Repeat for the start menu.
Repairing Office should restore the default shortcuts.
