Hi, I'm using XP Pro ed which was upgraded from XP Home edition. My ability
to save passwords has disappeared recently. If I go into Interner Explorer
Options and click on Content>Auto complete settings, I see that I have check
marks to save web addresses, forms, user names and passwords, and also
checked is Prompt me to save passwords yet none of those things are
presently working. I've gone to Kelly's Korner and downloaded the IE restore
prompt for save passwords fix as well and still haven't been prompted to
save passwords. What's up with that?

Outlook Express keeps prompting for your password - Repair

This fix also applies to Outlook, other programs that store passwords
in the Protected Storage System Provider sub-branch of the Registry.
It also corrects some issues with Internet Explorer and AutoComplete.
