I don't seem to have a ping or ipconfig command on my
win2k server. Is this just some kind of security
lockdown and how do i turn them back on.

- Start a Command Prompt
- Type this command: path
What does it look like?
- Check c:\winnt\system32. Does it really lack ping.exe
and ipconfig.exe?

Click Start / Help / Search Tab, then type
"path" (whithout the quotes) to get some general
information about the significance of the "path"
environmental variable.

Thanks, It seems that the path variable has been screwed
up (possible when installing MS SQL). The ping command
is actually there and working.
