i have a 2 computer network both running xp. one is running home, one is
running pro.i have a 1mps broadband connection which i had shared across it
from my family computer to mine using a usb modem. with this setup i dont
seem to get any internet access apart from games. net explorer doesnt work
and neither does things like msn messenger.

since then i have tried it the other way round, with the modem on my
computer and the other computer being the client for ics, and it just comes
up with an"access forbidden" page with something about "access control lists".

i was wondering if this could be anything with the ports that the services
use, and i was wondering, if this is the case, how to enable them.

im trying as much as i can but, with limeted knowledge of the subject i am
struggling to find anymore solutions that could work.

please help me!

Thankyou, Lee Davison
