No option for dial up network

Have just upgraded to xp prof from home, however cannot
see dial up connections in network connections. if i go
to install a new connection I only get as far as a
broadband option - there is no option allowed for a dial
up connection.

I can query my modem & it responds but my isp does not
recognize nay modem being connected

Any ideas.

(I have a vague memmory the missing dial up in netwk conn
is to do with a corrupt dll????)
