I can't easily get the Newsreader onto the Go menu item. Everytime I reboot
Internet Explorer shows there being no Newsreader and I have to change it to
Outlook Express. Then I can add it to the Go menu, but it disappears when I
reboot. Any ideas?

OE is the news reader for Outlook. To get the News command back, go back to
the Programs tab in Control Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If
OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch
it, clear the "Always perform this check..." box and then click the No
button.

Russ,

I've just done what you recommended and it works well.

Why would checking the outlook news reader create this problem to begin with?

Thanks.

Neal

No good reason other than the fact that they like to incorporate at least
one little schizophrenic routine just before they release the product.
Accordingly, if you designate OE as the default newsreader in OE, the
feature is broken. If you designate OE as the default in Control Panel, the
feature is enabled.
It makes perfect sense to me, but I've been on medication for quite a while
(thanks to Outlook).
