no newsgroups

can't get newsgroups from my servor sbcglobal...anyone have them-- it
says cant find nntp servor
news.dallas.sbcglobal.net -is the news servor I am trying to dwonload
newsgroups from--
do I click the box -the include this account when checking new
messages

do I click the box -this servore requires me to log on
do I click the box- log on using secure password authentication

Outlook doesn't do Newsgroups - where are you trying to set this up?

outlook express-just need name of main newgroup that contains
everything ad can enter that..

SBC Yahoo Dallas uses news.dallas.sbcglobal.net (or
news-rich.gpi.sbcglobal.net, which is the server's real name), as you say.
The username is your SBC Yahoo username (i.e., (e-mail address removed)) and the
password it your SBC Yahoo password. Check the "This server requires me to
log on" option.

Of course, that's "sbcglobal.net". Finger slipped.
