Hi
I have just joined this newsgroup to see if *someone* can offer solution
to the problem.
I have client that has a 3pc network. (2 d/top 1 l/top) all pc's running
xp sp1. Until last week the network was fully functional. They did have a
virus attack and though this has been rectified it does seem since then
that the network has not been working.
I have done everything that I can think of so far. Reinstalled services
and client (file printer sharing, ms client for windows). Have tried
removing the network card from the device manager list. Rebooted several
times after setting/resetting network ip addresses, workgroup names etc
etc. SO far still no good.
Each pc can see itself but cannot ping any other pc on the network. There
are NO firewalls active.
Short of pulling the n/i card and rebooting what else can I try?
Microsoft support is still as useless as ever and STILL want $50 for
*basic* support problems that THEY should handle!

Kind regards
