No mouse support in compatibility mode

Is there a way to load mouse support in win xp for dos games, I know under 9x and ME, I can load a dos driver to force a mouse to be present in a dos box... any help fior xp?

The mouse driver is automatically loaded by Windows. If a DOS application
fails to work with this driver you can only try to use another DOS emulator.
Try DOSBox from http://dosbox.sourceforge.net .
