I am working with an autoresponder (AR) supplied by my web host. I have it
all finished and am checking it out.

Now the problem - when the auto response comes to me and I read it in my
Outlook 2000 mail, there are no line feeds in the message. It is one
lonnnnnng line.

My web host says it is nothing with the system since he tried on it a
variety of computers and it is fine. He says it is something in my e-mail.
(I, in fact, tried it on a different computer and it was fine.)

Is this a bug on some computers? Can anyone help.

Outlook (all versions) modify inbound e-mails into its proprietary PST
format so you can never really what was the raw format for the message.
Send a test message to which your auto-responder will reply and read it
using Outlook Express and use its ability to show you the raw message
format. You can then see how the message was formatted regarding
printed quotable (if used), word wrap, MIME type, or whatever.
