I haven't had a problem with the internet before between different ISP's but
since I have churned over to Exetel (Australia) only 3 days ago I have had no
internet connection. I have 2 solid lights on my Modem (Netcomm NB1300 plus
4) but I can't browse. I've called on numerous occassions to rectify this
issue but end up with no success. Exetel states they can see me as online
but I still cannot browse. I receive all offline content. I have disabled
my firewall as advised and still nothing. What I have noticed though is when
I go to the one page configuration menu to input new ISP details in the
modem, when it is time to save settings and reboot modem, my modem doesn't
reboot but I still get the message as done or completed. When I choose the
option reboot without saving, my modem reboots then. I need it to reboot
with my saved settings. They claim my computer can't communicate with the
modem. Why would this be? I haven't changed any settings
Please advise me on this issue.

Thanks, Tim

I had a similar problem once where my previous ip got imprinted somehow on
the lan card. I had to do this. Open a command prompt and type in ipconfig.
Does it show ip addresses for your previous Ip or for exetel? If it isn't
exetel, go to system properties and device manager. find your lan card and
uninstall it. Then shut down your computer. Shut down your modem. Wait a
minute and start up your modem and then start the computer. It should find
and reinstall the lan card drivers. Then check ipconfig again and see if it
changed. Don't know if that will help in your case.
