No Internet after xp install

I just installed xp on my toshiba laptop. I am using a wireless card, and
after the install, I am not able to connect to the internet. I does not
recognize that I have the card. I took out card and re-inserted. Recognized
as new hardware, but would not let me install. Any suggestions?
 
You need to visit the manufacturers website and download the correct
drivers for your make/model of card. When the new hardware is
recognized, you can point the wizard to the correct drivers.

Must be a pretty old Tosh then - my Tecra 9000 which is at least 5 years old
has built-in wireless.....which XP configured automatically....
