I got a new computer and installed Office 2007, and set up Outlook. It worked
fine for 2 hours, then I stopped getting my incoming mail. I checked to see
if I was offline, but I was not. Please help!
Thanks,
Sandy

What happens when you try a manual send/receive? Any error message(s)?
Post the exact text if yes. What type of mail account do you use? Dial-up
or broadband?

Waiting on your answer to Milly's question but in the meantime can you also include if you are scanning your incoming and outgoing email with something like Norton,MacAfee, etc

I didn't know about the manual send/receive, but when I did that, I started
getting my mail. Then I set it up check for mail every 10 minutes. I didn't
realize that option was unchecked. oops.....Thanks for your help! You are
all great (and quick).

I am having the same problem - not receiving incoming mail. I am able to
send. As far as I can tell, I have the correct settings that have been
already mentioned. I have also done manual send/receives many times!!

Usually this happens for a day or two and then all of a sudden I can receive
them again. This time it has happened the entire week.

I recently installed Office 2007 also, but this was happening before I
installed it.

So what are you using for mail, if you only recently installed ofice 2007

I used to have office 2003. Is that what you mean?

I send and receive my e-mails by going directly to Charter. I can receive
them AND send them from there.

Open Outlook, or Data management, use the accounts option to test the

I have the same problem. Test works fine but nothing comes through on
outlook. I can go into Charter email online and see the test.
