In the Internet Explorer Address bar (where you type the URLs of websites)
there is no icon to the left of the URL. Well there is, but it is the same
one for all websites. The icon it displays is the one XP uses when there is
no specified icon. For example, at msn.com, I do not see that small
butterfly icon next to the URL like I used to. Can anyone help me bring back
those icons? examples: The butterfly icon from msn.com, the G icon from
google.com and the regular icon that has a page with a blue globe. Thanks

Ron,

The only fix I know of for this for IE is that the URL has to be readded to
the favorites list. The icon disappears in IE once temp files, IE cache or
URL history is cleared.

btw...Netscape does not have this issue.

Forgot...ironically the IE cache and temp internet files have to be cleared
BEFORE readding the favorite.
