No Icons and Taskbar

After i logon to my Windows Xp system, I cannot see the
Taskbar and icons. I tried the windows key on the keyboard
and Ctrl+ Esc to get the Start Menu but No go.
When I ptress CTrl + Alt + Del I can See the Task Manager

Please let me know the Reason for the problem and Solution.

Solution.

Did you tried to restart your machine? Try that should
help.
Hover around taskbar and see if it comes up. If it comes
up right click on it and get into Properties to change
settings.
