I have gone into other posts with my same problem and no solution is posted.
My problem is that I get same error messages. If my email has pictures from
my server it will stop. I have gone in and deleted these message from my
server and they will pick and chose what to send as long as it is not long.
I need to get Windows Mail working. They would not let me download my safe
Outlook Express as this one is "better". Baloney... it is worse.

Outlook Express won't work under Vista even if you can transfer it.

You didn't say what's not working with Windows Mail.

If you get it started, click on Tools, Options, then Read. If there is
a check mark in the box before Read all messages in plain text,
click on this box and then Apply. Click on OK.

Your problem description is difficult to decipher, but it sounds like
your email downloads are sluggish, or it doesn't completely finish
downloading all messages.

This problem is likely to be caused by your antivirus program.
Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee and
Norton security programs. Those will need to be uninstalled,
not just disabled.

After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download
and install a more compatible antivirus like the free Avast:
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their
email scanning option turned off. For more on this topic see
http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

I have Charter Security Suite. No Norton or McAfee which conflicts with
cable. I allow all internet traffic and all mail scanning is off. It will
download some days next days it won't. I have no problem when I go into
Charter mail and receive my email It is just windows mail. reason I want
windows is so it can be used on the road. I do have Vista on my lap top.

If the connection to your email server goes through another internet
provider before it gets to the email server's provider, connections to
port 25 are often blocked to cause trouble for spammers. You may
ask your email provider if their outgoing email server listens to any
other port for outgoing email.

Thanks for reply. But no good reason for anything. Today after 4 days of
not receiving it decided to work. Go figure.

Well, there is no reason why you could not access your mail via
the Charter website while away from home. In fact, that method
will have far fewer potential problems than using a POP/SMTP
client program (such as Windows Mail) away from home.
