I just discovered that I don;t have my Help menu anymore.
(I used to use it) Nothing happens when I click it(from
the Start menu). XP came with my computer, therefore I
don't have a CD. I need help in getting it back.
Thanks,

If it's an H/P and it came preloaded, your disc is part
of your hard drive.I sent you a post with,
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
try that first,if that don't work, you can try a restore
feature.H/P preloaded,I think Compaq also(any other you
may want to check the manufacturer)you access your start-
up CD by turning the computer off, then repeatedly pump
the F10 key as it starts up,the recovery screen comes up
and ask you what you want to do.2 different recoveries
can be accessed,1 recovery keeping your files(this is
what you would want, and 2 DESTRUCTIVE RECOVERY-it sets
the computer back to what it was like the day you bought
it-YOU WILL LOSE ALL FILES FOLDERS,AND ANYTHING THAT
DIDN'T COME WITH THE COMPUTER.It loads XP and all the
drivers your computer needs(like a brand new
computer). This is what you would use if you had a virus
that rendered your computer useless,or you was going to
sell it and wanted to remove your files.Nondestructive
recovery is what it's called,it keeps all your files and
folders,it just resets XP features,like
search,help,screensaver,desktop...keeps
pictures, music, documents, that kind of stuff. Please if you
use this feature back-up your computer, just incase you
lose something you wanted.Always back-up.Try the web site
first.
