no font smoothing wanted in word

hello there
how can i turn off font smooting in word? this started lately and
happens with no other products of the office family. excel, powerpoint
are running OK with normal fonts.

There is only a general font smoothing setting available in Windows
XP. This is in Control Panel - Display - Appearance - Effects.

If that setting does not resolve the issue for you then you should
post your question to a newsgroup that deals with Microsoft Word or
Microsoft Office.
