My wife uses Outlook 2000. I cannot get any values to
display in the "received" field for her messages. Have
done google and mskb searches and find nothing so far.

I also tried moving all the date/time fiels into the
outlook mail displays and no date values appear in any of
them. Yet, the date is shown in the header info of the
messages.

Do any of you have a suggestion?

Have you tried using the ".../CleanViews" switch. The
link below will give you the instructions on how to use it
(use the one for your outlook version).

NOTE: This will remove any special views that the
client may have built.

Thanks Nikki. I looked at the kb article and tried
several of the switches, including the cleanviews, safe,
and resetoutlookbar and none of them changes
the "received" field --which is blank for all messages.
This is true whether in the inbox, sentbox, outbox, etc.

This is just a wild guess...

You may want to try clearing the forms cache.

If you close outlook
Perform a FIND (click on desktop and press <F3>)
(If you are using XP or W2K operating system be
sure to look in hidden files)
Look for FRMCACHE.DAT file.
Delete it from the find window.
Restart Outlook.

When you restart Outlook it will rebuild a fresh new
FRMCACHE.DAT file.

Thanks again Nikki. I tried deleted the frmcache.dat file
but it made no diff. Will keep experimenting and let you
know when/if I find the problem. Thanks again for your
help.
