i have a used computer that has a xp upgrade installed. iam tring to do a
clean reinstall but at the bios screen there is no option to boot from cd. i
have already uninstalled sp2. any help would be great.

Hi,

Is the BIOS boot order set to include the CD drive? In most machines built
over the past five years this should be an option. If not, use a dos boot
floppy that includes CD support and run the winnt.exe file in the I386
folder on the CD to start setup.

How old is this computer? It's been a fair number of years since computers
have been made without this option. It's hard for me to imagine a computer
new enough t be able to run XP, yet so old that it doesn't have the option
to boot from a CD.
