Have you tried a different monitor ? Can you enter the bios , turn on ,
hit delete ? Use the process of elination before going to the extreme. Jym

i have the same problem with my computer.. only my computer starts up (randomly) i got someone to look at it for me.. he said that maybe the temperature in BIOS was set too low, and that it goes into this stand by mode wen the motherboard reaches this temp. i have tried hitting delete during start up.. but doesnt work.. nothing happens. maybe you should try leaving your comp on.. and waitin to see if it starts and then change the temp. what i done wen it started doing that was left it unplugged for bout a day or so.. try that and tell meif it works.. cos i want to fix mine too!

hi there,

are you sure your trying to enter the bios the correct way? ie

1. wait for the message to be displayed. the messages to enter the bios
utility differs from manufacturer to manufacturer, they tend to use
different keys to access setup. you say that you are using the 'delete'
key, is your computer telling you to press the delete key or are you
guessing its the delete key?

2. you must press the appropriate key 'while' the message is being
displayed. if you miss your cue, you will need to reboot your computer
and try again.

i know this sounds very basic but it seemed to me to be a good place to
start.

Does the CPU FAN RUN?
Try unplugging the Motherboard power connector and plugging it back in.
