no audio

hi i hav an intel sound card on my laptop and it is showing no audio device.
but device manager says they are working properly and if i go to properties
it say this device is enabled but not started how do i start it without
getting too technical . help

Go to the laptop mftr.'s tech support website for your specific model
laptop. Download the audio drivers and install them. If that doesn't
solve the problem, contact the laptop's tech support people.
