I have installed Win2000 pro on a PC and a laptop. The CD player works but
have no audio. When I insert an audio CD I get a little player that runs but
no audio.
Under device mangaer could not find the manufacturerer of neither the sound
cards.
Dosn't Win2000 Pro install an audio driver?
Where can I get one?? before my 2 sons kill me !!
Help appreciated.

p.s. not able to connect the two computers to the internet.

Thanks

Nope it hasn't installed an Audio Driver, whilst 2K supports a lot of
hardware it doesn't have all of them

You can get the drivers from anyone with access to a net connection and a
floppy drive, or you can ask your
local friendly PC shop (not PCWorld) or you can ring the Laptop manufacturer
direct, they may send you one

Tkx Jud,
I can get on the net with my computer. Where to look for the driver pls ??
MS hasn't one.

Try downloading from your work computer onto a usb memory stick, or to a
floppy if the file fits. and bring it home then install the driver.

Yes tkx, but which driver? where ?
