I have the drive below and I am running it under WindowsXP
Professional SP1.

The drive is working but I cannot get any sound in my
headphones (connected to the drive directly) when playing
an AUDIO CD. I tried two different headphone sets.

Is there a solution to the problem (a patch, firmware,
etc...)?

Thanks in advance,
Marcelo

Thanks for the answer, but I am not sure I got it. Do you
mean changing from analog to digital in the DVD device (in
the Device Manager)? Otherwise, what would be the "media
player" ?

P.S. Note that I am trying to list to audio by connecting
to the drive directly. Would any Media Player software
interfere with the headphone jack of the drive?

Thanks much,

Yes if the computer tries to receive data digitally the headphone jack never
works. So you will have to change it to analogue.

In Media Player go to Tools / Options / Devices click properties for your
drive and change playback to analogue.
