My 6 ear old son was playing on my computer, when I find him on the
add/remove programs page. It looks like he got rid of about 5 to 6
programs. I assume that there was a audio driver deleted, because there
is no sound at all. How do I identify this driver that was deleted? And
how do I figure out which driver or audio program is missing? I have
Xp home Edition.

You could try opening your device manager (I right click on MY COMPUTER and
then PROPERTIES and HARDWARE and the device driver button. Find your sound
card and if you double click on it, or right click and open the properties,
there is an option to update the driver. At the very least you may be able
to see which device is not functioning properly.
Of course, first check your speaker icon to be sure it is not muted or way
down, your speakers are plugged in and turned on and volume is up. He might
have just touched something simple like that.
