Don C.

I have tried everything that I can to capture audio with
USB VideoBus II. I am trying to capture videos from a RCA
vhs camcorder or from vcr or tv. I can not capture sound
from any of them. Video is fine from all of them. I have
made changes to my sound recorder and volume controls and
made sure that none of them are muted. When I
select "Mixer Device" in Control properties and select
"Usb VideoBusII, Audio" I do not get any volume controls
for that selection, so I can not select "OK". I relly
need some help. I have emailed the manufacturer of the
capture device. They are giving me A BIG IGNORE.

Hi Don,
Meet another frustrated *Belkin USB Videobus2* user! :-(

FWIW, mine works perfectly ok with MM2, so I assume your problem must be
something with your setup.
I'm using a P3/700 and have 512 meg of memory.
I can record from my Panasonic VHS camcorder, my VCR, and from digital or
analogue TV.
I recorded an hour long program from *Freeview* TV a couple of evenings ago.
What I *can't* do is make *PowerVCR* (A virtualVCR) or any other virtual VCR
that I can find work.
I get exactly your problem...video fine but no audio.

I am using MM2 and I also have 512meg memory. I am not
sure what my settings should be. I am sure I have tried
dozens of different settings. Are you supposed to hear
audio when you are capturing? I do not. May be that is my
problem. I still have not heard from Belkin on this
problem.
Don

Yes Don, I do hear the audio when recording wiirh MM2.

I still get the *no audio* problem with PowerVCR though.
Interestingly, if I'm listening via *line in*, the sound stops as soon as I
initialise PowerVCR and comes in through the Videobus instead. It stops as
soon as I try to record. no matter what the setting is.
:-(((

I had the same problem and found help on a webpage somewhere that said you need to plug your RCA audio directly into your sound card using an adapter called something like RCA to mini-plug. It worked for me!
