no address bar

Um.... I only ask, since you didn't mention it...

In Internet Explorer, have you clicked View, then Toolbars, and then put a
check next to Address Bar?

First place to check....

In Internet Explorer, right click along the top of the active window - where
your address bar used to be - a menu should appear that has options like
Standard Button, Address Bar, Links, and some others (If the menu that
appears doesn't have those options, keep clicking around 'til you find it).

Verify that the Address Bar option is selected.
