I am new to using newsgroups. I do not know how to set
it up properly. When I went into Outlook Express to set
up the Newsgroups I was asked for my NTTP address
provided. How do I find what that is?

Thanks

Step by step instructions to set up a newsgroup.

Or:

That is the server used to provide the news posts. For example you can
find all these microsoft.public ones (but nothing else) at
msnews.microsoft.com

Your ISP probably runs one - something like news.ispname.com or
news.ispname.net

BTW when setting it up I strongly suggest that you 'munge' the e-mail
address that you put in so as to make it more difficult for spammers to
pick it up - see the one in my sig for example. The Human eye can
remove the DEL8 - programs are less sophisticated

In addition to Mr. Nicol's excellent advice, here is more information
about newsgroups:

Since you are using the web interface, you may not realize that this is
really a newsgroup. You will get far more out of this resource if you
learn to use a newsreader. There are many good newsreaders for Windows,
but you can use Outlook Express since you already have it. Here are
some links to information about newsgroups to broaden your posting
pleasure!
