Newsgroup Reader disappears 2003

Outlook 2003 I added the News to the GO Button. The first time I
clicked on it, it brought up all my Newsgroups that I have in Outlook
Express.

This was fine but then I closed it. I opened Outlook again and went to the
GO button and now News isn't there anymore. I went back to Tools, Customize
and the Commands Tab again to add News to the GO button but now News isn't
there.

I reinstalled Outlook and it still wasn't there. I uninstalled all of
Microsoft Office 2003 and reinstalled it again and News was there so I put
it up on the GO button again. Newsgroups opened again but only the first
time. The same thing happened all over again.

Any explanation for this?

Thanks again,
Ed.

Sure. It's been posted here thousands of times.
To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If
OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch
it, clear the "Always perform this check..." box and then click the No
button.

Sorry, I just joined the newsgroup a few days ago and downloaded I forget
how many thousands of messages. I did a search but apparently not using the
correct search word and decided to post.

I am glad that I did and you decided to answer and give the info one more
time. I certainly do appreciate it. I know you guys must get sick of things
being asked over and over again when it has already been answered over and
over again cause they don't bother to search first.

Thanks again for the reply and I certainly appreciate it and praise you
folks for the outstanding help you provide in these newsgroups.

Thanks,
Ed.

Not a problem. I'm surprised a search turned nothing up. I'd try searching
through Google next time. It never misses.

If you had searched for the three terms "missing", "go", and "news", you
would have found the answers.
