I had customized toolbar with Newsgroup button (following add/remove buttons,
customize, commands, chose Go category, then News command-dragged to
toolbar). I removed it from the toolbar later because I had messed up the
newsgroup entry address and could not figure out how to correct. Now, when I
go into the add button routine (as above), when I select the "Go" category,
the "News"
command is no longer there. I even reset the Outlook program (not a full
reinstall)
and it did not reload the command option. What now? I want to put the
Newsgroup button back on the toolbar. And please, do not recommend Outlook
Express.

What was it you thought the News command did?
It launches Outlook Express. Outlook is not and never has been a news
reader.

To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If
OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch
it, clear the "Always perform this check..." box and then click the No
button.

You may need to reset the menu or toolbar using Tools, customize.
