I configured outlook 2003 to read the newsgroups. It worked the first time.
Now whenever I select the go/news it opens a folder on my computer
C:\Program Files\Common Files\SYSTEM\MSMAPI\1033

I have tried to delete the news thing and reinstall it nada...Anyone know
what is going on?

I read in an earlier message that you told someone using outlook express to
go to the Control panel and change the settings in the Internet settings. I
tried that it only has one option available and that is outlook express.
(which did and still does work fine). Seems kind of dumn to have to load
outlook express just to read newsgroups.

Outlook uses Outlook Express for newsgroups. Without it, Outlook cannot go
to newsgroups.

Can you please tell me how to set this up or where to find more
information on this type of seamless usage?

Right now I open a separate instance of Outlook Express to read
newsgroups and would prefer to have them listed in Outlook and just
click to read, even if it does automagically open an instance of
Outlook Express itself.

Thanks!

Try the Outlook newsgroups.

Open Outlook. Go to View/Go To/News
